1 Dead in Houston Auto Accident on Westheimer Road and Briarhurst Drive

HOUSTON, TX (May 14, 2024) – Monday night, a devastating METRO bus stop crash on Westheimer Road and Briarhurst Drive killed 1 person.

The crash occurred just before 7:30 p.m. on Westheimer Road and Briarhurst Drive.

According to reports, a vehicle crashed into a METRO bus stop in west Houston.

Lt. Va’shawnda Mclean with the Houston Police Department (HPD) reported that a woman believed to be in her forties, crashed into a METRO bus stop. The driver showed signs of intoxication and resisted arrest before officers managed to detain her. 

Two individuals who were at the bus stop were taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, one of them succumbed to their injuries. The condition of the second person is currently unknown.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
