JURUPA VALLEY, CA (April 29, 2024) – Sunday morning, a devastating bicycle crash on 10500 Jurupa Road killed 1 person.

The incident happened at about 11:10 a.m. in the 10500 block of Jurupa Road.

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, needed extrication and was swiftly transported to a hospital with serious injuries after colliding with a bicyclist and a power pole, authorities disclosed.

At present, the cause of the crash remains unknown. The gender and ages of both the bicyclist and the driver have not been immediately provided.

Southern California Edison promptly responded to the scene to initiate repairs on the damaged power pole.

Taking charge of the investigation, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is diligently working to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
