1 Dead in Bridge City Multi-Vehicle Accident on Texas Highway 73 and Rainbow Bridge

BRIDGE CITY, TX (January 15, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, a devastating 3-vehicle crash on Texas Highway 73 and Rainbow Bridge killed 1 person.

The incident involving a van, a car, and a pickup truck occurred at about 5:30 a.m. on the southbound lanes of Texas Highway 73, north of the Rainbow Bridge.

Orange County Precinct Two Justice of the Peace Chad Jenkins declared one man dead at the scene. Meanwhile, several others were transported by ambulance to a Southeast Texas hospital.

Moreover, reports added that troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety, Orange County deputies, and Bridge City firefighters from Orange County Emergency Services District Two all came to the scene.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
