PHOENIX, AZ (August 20, 2023) – Saturday night, a devastating 2-vehicle crash near 35th Avenue and Southern Avenue killed 1 person.

The incident happened at around 9:30 p.m. near 35th Avenue and Southern Avenue.

According to reports, the authorities responded to the crash involving two vehicles in Laveen. Upon their arrival, they found two vehicles, one crashed into a light pole which led power lines to fall on the road.

Also, one man succumbed to injuries at the scene. Then, responders took three other adults to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash affected approximately 7,200 customers that suffered power outages in the area due to the crash.
