Anaheim, CA (March 22, 2021) – On Sunday, 31-year-old Desiree Robles lost her life in a DUI pedestrian crash on 8901 Katella Avenue.
The tragic accident took place at around 1:30 a.m. on the Stanton side of the border.
Robles was crossing Katella outside of a crosswalk when she was struck by an SUV driving eastbound.
Apparently, officers found her body in an unincorporated county area in the Anaheim-Stanton area.
When authorities arrived, they pronounced her dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene. Officers said an initial investigation led deputies to believe the driver was impaired.
So, they arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI.
