Man Crashes into Car after Running Red Light and Fleeing on 216th Street and Pacific Highway South
DES MOINES, WA (February 25, 2018) – On Sunday morning around 12:18 AM, a hit-and-run car accident occurred on 216th Street and Pacific Highway South.
A man was driving northbound on the Pacific Highway, when he ran a red light and struck another car that was traveling westbound on 216th St.
After the collision, the vehicle fled from the scene of the crash. The hit-and-run driver was later found by police officials in a 7-Eleven parking lot and taken into custody. Neither the identity or the vehicle involved has been released by authorities.
The accident is under investigation for a hit-and-run, as well as a possible DUI. No other information has been provided at this time.
