47-Year-Old Derrick Allen Killed in Prosperity Avenue Collision [Dallas, TX]

Dallas, TX (August 19, 2024) – 47-year-old Derrick Allen was killed in a Prosperity Avenue hit-and-run crash Sunday morning.

The fatal collision happened off Bonnie View Road in southern Dallas.

Dallas Police said Rodolfo Jamaica, 21, was speeding qnd attempting to pass another car. He struck a male pedestrian walking along the side of the road.

Jamaica did kept driving and crashing into another car and a house on Kathleen Avenue.

Sadly, the pedestrian, Derrick Allen, was killed in the accident.

The authorities arrested and charged Jamaica with intoxication manslaughter.
