1 Person Hospitalized in Surprise Pedestrian Accident
SURPRISE, AZ (March 5, 2024) – Recently, Derek Williams sustained injuries in an alarming hit-and-run crash in Surprise.
The incident happened when an SUV rear-ended one vehicle that in turn pinned a male pedestrian who was attempting to jump-start one of his vehicles, pinning him between.
According to reports, the victim, identified as Derek Williams, yelled for help and was heard by a neighbor who called 911. Then, paramedics rushed Williams to a hospital with severe leg injuries.
Moreover, officers managed to locate and arrest the hit-and-run driver, identified as 43-year-old Beth Strong, for aggravated assault causing disfigurement, leaving the scene of an accident with injury and resisting arrest.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
