Driver Dies in HWY 50 Head-On Crash
Gasconade County, MO (October 2, 2024) – Derald Deppe, 67, of Morrison, was injured in a fatal vehicle crash on Highway 50 Monday.
The deadly two-vehicle crash happened west of Lake Timber Ridge Road.
Officers said a 2010 Dodge Charger driven by Jason Roberts, 45, of Mt. Sterling, was westbound on the highway. The Dodge crossed the eastbound lane and struck a 2000 Kenworth driven by Derald Deppe head-on.
Sadly, Roberts was declared deceased at the scene. Troopers said he was not wearing a seatbelt during the collision.
Meanwhile, Deppe, and Charles Pratt, 22 of Owensville, who was a passenger in Roberts’ vehicle, were brought to Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri.
