Deputy Involved in Rollover Crash on West Yermo Road [Yermo, CA]

Injuries Reported in Yermo Auto Accident on West Yermo Road

 
YERMO, CA (May 3, 2022) – Sunday afternoon, a rollover crash on West Yermo Road involved a deputy.
 
The incident happened at around 1:30 p.m. when the deputy traveled at 140 mph. Then, he reached a slight left-hand curve, just 770 feet west of the El Toro 2 Tire Auto Repair. Afterward, the deputy lost control of his own vehicle.
 
“He had hit two cars on the side of the road, causing him to flip onto the tire shop where the guy was actually working on a car, and it landed on top of his awning,” said Yermo resident Dylan Fernandez.
 
As a result, the deputy and an employee at the repair shop both suffered minor injuries.
 
Also, the crash shut down Yermo Road between Knowles Street and McCormick Street for several hours. At about 5:30 p.m., the road reopened.
