BELLFLOWER, CA (July 23, 2019) – A deputy was involved in a three vehicle car crash on Downey Avenue Tuesday night.
 
Authorities stated that the accident occurred at about 9:00 PM in the intersection of Downey Avenue and Ramona Street.
 
Per report, the deputy was responding to a call when he collided with a vehicle. As a result, the cruiser ended up on the sidewalk. Also, another car was damaged due to the crash. In addition, officials reported that the deputy was cut off.
 
First responders arrived shortly after. They transported two pedestrians and the deputy to a nearby hospital for further medical evaluation. However, there has been no update on their medical status.
 
Due to the collision, Downey Avenue was closed between Artesia Boulevard and 64th Street.
