POWAY, CA (September 24, 2019) – A deputy sustained injuries in a DUI car crash on Poway Road on September 21.
 
At around 1:30 a.m., a passing car struck the deputy’s patrol car while he’s sitting inside. The vehicle then struck a car the deputy pulled over, Lt. Kevin Ralph of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department revealed.
 
Officials revealed that the suspect driver stopped and admitted that he had been drinking earlier. Authorities arrested him on suspicion of DUI.
 
Meanwhile, the person in the other vehicle didn’t suffer any injury.
