WSP Investigates 2-Vehicle Collision on Hannegan Road
Whatcom County, WA (March 21, 2024) On Tuesday morning, a WCSO deputy was hurt and hospitalized after a traffic crash on East Axton Road.
According to the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), the 2-vehicle collision happened at about 8:10 a.m. near the intersection of East Axton Road and Hannegan Road.
Reports say that an eastbound driver failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a vehicle driven by the deputy.
Medics transported the deputy and the other driver to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center, both drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities cited the driver of the other vehicle for failure to stop at a controlled intersection and driving with no license and no insurance.
WSP is investigating the 2-vehicle collision and has not released additional information at this time.
