1 Injured after Alleged DUI Driver Collides with Patrol Car in Norwalk

NORWALK, CA (January 29, 2019) – A deputy was hospitalized after a chase in Norwalk involving a suspected drunk driver ended in crash on Friday. Officials confirmed that the deputy was injured after colliding with the suspect’s vehicle. He was reported to be in stable condition when he was rushed to the hospital.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the suspect crashed and abandoned their vehicle at Cheshire Street and Caulfield Avenue. Lakewood deputies assisted in the pursuit of the suspected drunk driver.

The incident remains under investigation.
