Thomas Bounlanger Arrested in Whittier DUI Car Collision
WHITTIER, CA (December 20, 2018) – 31-year-old Deputy Brandon Longoria from Pico Rivera Sheriff’s Department was injured in an accident Thursday night.
California Highway Patrol stated the collision took place around 8:25 PM, west of Whittier at the intersection of Pioneer Boulevard and Saragosa Street. Officials identified the other vehicle as a Chevrolet Silverado driven by 24-year-old Thomas Boulanger from Washington.
As per reports, Bounglar was driving northbound on Pioneer Boulevard, when he ran the stop sign and broad sided the patrol car traveling eastbound on Saragosa Street. Bounglar was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The suspected drunk motorist is being held at the Inmate Reception Center in Los Angeles with a bail set at $100,000.
The Deputy has been released from the hospital, there are no updates on his medical condition.
