Imperial Sheriff’s Deputy Anthony Redondo Dead and Several Injured in Accident on Aten Road

 
IMPERIAL COUNTY, CA (June 27, 2021) – Saturday night, a Sheriff’s Deputy, Anthony Redondo, died in a crash on Aten Road and Forrester Road.
 
The crash between a Chevrolet Tahoe and a pick-up happened at 7:40 p.m. Moreover, it occurred at the intersection of Aten and Forrester Roads.
 
According to reports, the pickup was driven by Mr. Redondo. Furthermore, reports confirmed that one of the vehicles failed to yield at the posted stop.
 
Witnesses believe the 23-year-old deputy drove past the stop sign.
 
Even so, the CHP has yet to confirm the sequence of events leading up the the deadly accident.
 
Meanwhile, the authorities confirmed that both vehicles went into a nearby field.
 
As a result, the Sheriff’s Deputy in the pick-up sustained fatal injuries, and died at the scene. Meanwhile, two individuals from Tahoe were airlifted to hospitals. One of them was airlifted out of the county. Meanwhile, the other was taken to a local hospital.
 
At this time, the extent of the injuries remains unknown.
 
Ultimately, the Imperial County PD continue to investigate the Forrester Road crash.
