Man Hospitalized after Pedestrian Accident on Tower Road near East 69th Avenue
DENVER, CO (February 15, 2018) – On Thursday morning around 6 AM, a man was struck and injured by a car near the hotel zone by Denver International Airport.
According to police spokesman Doug Schepman, the pedestrian was walking in the middle of the block on Tower Road near East 69th Avenue, when he was struck by a vehicle traveling on the road.
He sustained major injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. No other injuries or damages have been reported at this time.
The driver remained at the scene of the crash and cooperated with police officials. Southbound Tower Rd was closed at East 71st Avenue for several hours, as authorities investigated and cleaned up the scene of the crash. The cause of the accident is still unknown.
There is no update on the condition and identity of the injured victim.
