Police Apprehend Dennis Hurts in Pursuit Near March Lane
Stockton, CA (February 02, 2021) – On Friday, police arrested 19-year-old Dennis Hurts in a vehicle crash near March Lane.
The accident took place at about 4 p.m. at the intersection with Holiday Drive.
Apparently, officers attempted to stop Hurts’ vehicle but he didn’t stop.
The authorities started a short pursuit which was terminated for safety reasons.
Just then, Hurts’ vehicle crashed with another vehicle wherein he immediately fled the scene.
As a result, the authorities resumed the chase and used a pursuit intervention technique to disable the vehicle.
Hurts fled from the vehicle on foot but officers caught him a short time later.
Finally, police held Hurts at the San Joaquin County Jail on $120,500 bail. He is facing a slew of charges, online jail records show, including felony evading a peace officer for wanton disregard for safety and for evading and misdemeanor hit and run property damage.
He will be in court Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Stockton.
