Denise Rivera and Alfonso Abarca Gaspar Killed in Highway 184 Crash
Kern County, CA (December 01, 2021) – On Friday, 31-year-old Denise Rivera of Bakersfield, and 58-year-old Alfonso Abarca Gaspar of Maricopa, died in a DUI crash on Highway 184.
Gaspar, in a Toyota, was traveling south of Highway 58. At the same time, a Jeep driven by 38-year-old Marcia Luqueleyson of Lamont, crossed over the center line and crashed head-on with Gaspar’s vehicle.
Unfortunately, Gaspar, Rivera, and another passenger of Luqueleyson, died at the crash scene.
Rescuers took Luqueleyson to Kern Medical with major injuries. They later arrested her for DUI.
