1 Dead and 1 Hurt in Mount Vernon Car Accident
MOUNT VERNON, WA (April 22, 2019) – A man died and a woman suffered injuries in a single-car accident on Pioneer Highway on April 17.
According to reports, the car traveling south tried to turn east onto a private driver at Milltown Road around 6 miles south of Mount Vernon. However, the tires went off the side of the road. The car went down an embankment and rolled over into a water-filled culvert.
As a result, 21-year-old passenger, Demetrius Sullivan, died at the scene. Meanwhile, the 21-year-old female driver fron Bellevue suffered injuries. Medical responders transported her toHarborview Medical Center in Seattle. Unfortunately, the extent of her injuries remains unknown as of this time.
Troopers are having a hard time identifyong who drove during the crash and if impairment is a factor.
