67-Year-Old Delbert Perry Hurt in Fatal Crash on Shore Road [San Benito County, CA]

San Benito County, CA (June 20, 2024) On Wednesday morning, 67-year-old Delbert Perry was injured after a fatal crash on Shore Road that claimed the life of a 20-year-old male driver.

According to the CHP Hollister-Gilroy, the fatal head-on collision happened at about 3:55 a.m. on Shore Road, just east of Lake Road.

Reports say that an eastbound Toyota Camry, driven by a 20-year-old man, crossed over the double yellow lines and collided head-on with the vehicle Perry was driving westbound.

Medics immediately rushed the 20-year-old to Hazel Hawkins Hospital with the intention to move him to Natividad Hospital, however, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead en route to the hospital.

Meanwhile, medics transported Perry to Natividad Hospital with only minor injuries.

Authorities are investigating the head-on collision.
