US 183 Fatal Crash Under Investigation
Austin, TX (February 15, 2024) – 10-year-old DeErick Williams II was killed in a US 183 collision Monday night.
The fatal collision happened on February 12 in the 200 block area.
The Austin Police Department officers said a sedan was stopped in the middle lane with the hazard lights on. Suddenly, a hatchback rear-ended the sedan.
Two juvenile passengers in the sedan, including Williams II, incurred life-threatening injuries and later succumbed to his injuries. The sedan driver, on the other hand, was not injured.
The hatchback driver sustained minor injuries and remained at the scene.
