Big Rig Crash on 10 Freeway In Indio
INDIO, CA (May 13, 2020) – On Tuesday afternoon, a big rig crash on the 10 Freeway and Jackson Street spilled debris on the roadway.
The California Highway Patrol revealed that witnesses reported the collision between two big rigs at around 2:40 p.m. in the eastbound lanes west of Jackson Street.
Following the collision, both big rigs managed to stop at the shoulder of the road.
Moreover, both suffered damages to their respective trailers.
Meanwhile, Caltrans responded to the crash scene to help in clearing the road of debris scattered because of the collision.
Crews closed the surrounding area on the 10 Freeway and Jackson Street for a brief time during cleanup and the preliminary investigation. However, the roadway is once again opened to traffic.
