Early Morning Rollover Crash on Highway 127 in Death Valley Junction Ends in Fatality

 
DEATH VALLEY JUNCTION, CA (February 8, 2019) – One person was killed following a rollover crash early Friday morning in Death Valley Junction.
 
The fatal crash happened around 4:10 a.m. on Highway 127 at Potero Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle had overturned on its roof, blocking the entire southbound lanes of the highway. A semi truck was also located near the area, unknown if it was involved in the crash.
 
Fire crews along with paramedics responded to the scene and worked on the rescue operation. An air ambulance was also requested to transport those who were hurt to a hospital.
 
Despite life-saving measures, at least one fatality was reported as a result of the accident. The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending next of kin notification.
 
There were no official reports stating what caused the crash or how it exactly transpired. Authorities are looking further into the incident.
