According to the Modesto Police Department (MPD), the deadly crash happened at about 5 p.m. on East Briggsmore Avenue.

Reports say that a rider on a mobility scooter was struck and killed by a vehicle.

Authorities say that the crash happened on East Briggsmore Avenue, just east of Coffee Road. Both the vehicle and the mobility scooter were traveling westbound when the collision took place. The crash led to road closures and traffic delays in the area.
