WSP Investigates Fatal Auto-Pedestrian Accident near Ellingson Road
(November 03, 2023) On Wednesday afternoon, a tragic pedestrian crash on SR 167 left a person dead.
According to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), the fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened at about 12:40 p.m. on SR-167 just north of Ellingson Road.
Reports say that the fatal incident involved a big rig and a pedestrian, medics airlifted the injured pedestrian to Harborview Medical Center. However, 2 hours after being transported, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
WSP is investigating the fatal crash and says that the semi-truck driver did not show signs of impairment at the time of the crash.
