Woman Dies in Tragic Auto-Pedestrian Crash on East Pacheco Road
Bakersfield, CA (March 15, 2024) On Thursday evening, a female victim was killed in a horrific pedestrian crash on Cottonwood Road.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department (BPD), the deadly crash happened around 8 p.m. near the intersection of Cottonwood Road and East Pacheco Road.
Reports say that a northbound white pickup struck the female pedestrian on the 4700 block of Cottonwood Road.
First responders found the woman in the roadway suffering major injuries, however, the woman succumbed to her injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are investigating the probable cause of the fatal collision and have not released further details at this time.
