Fatal Ceres Multi-Vehicle Accident on East Whitmore Avenue and Morgan Road

 
CERES, CA (July 24, 2022) – Friday night, a multi-vehicle crash on East Whitmore Avenue and Morgan Road led to a fatality.
 
The incident occurred at around 10:15 p.m. on East Whitmore Avenue and Morgan Road. When the emergency crews arrived, they found that the incident led to multiple injuries.
 
Meanwhile, officers found that a vehicle traveled toward the intersection. However, it failed to yield to stop for a line of cars waiting at a red light. Then, the vehicle rear-ended one car and sent both vehicles into two other stopped vehicles.
 
As a result, a woman in one of the vehicles died. Meanwhile, three other adults sustained injuries and required hospitalization.
 
Officers confirmed that two of the injured sustained life-threatening injuries. Also, officers confirmed that an 18-month-old infant also occupied one of the vehicles, but suffered no injuries.
 
Then, responders arrested a 25-year-old man who drove the vehicle that caused the chain reaction. He’s facing charges of manslaughter and DUI.
 
Moreover, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the suspect.
 
Turlock City Engine 34, Modesto Fire Engine 6, Engine 1, and Battalion Chief 1 all came to the scene.
