Unidentified Victim Killed in Motorcycle Crash near 605 Freeway in Seal Beach
SEAL BEACH, CA (April 27, 2020) – Early Sunday morning, a motorcycle crash killed an unidentified person on 405 Freeway in Seal Beach.
Authorities first received reports around 4:07 a.m., on the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway. Emergency personnel arrived just south of the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, shortly after.
According to witnesses, the motorcycle rider crashed into the right shoulder wall. As he was thrown off from the bike, he was fatally struck by two separate vehicles.
Authorities later issued a SigAlert around 4:27 a.m. Upon declaration, all northbound lanes of 405 Freeway were closed and the traffic was rerouted at the Seventh Street off-ramp. However, the roadway has since reopened.
Meanwhile, the identity of the fatal victim will be withheld until the next of kin is notified. Further details concerning the collision have not provided at this time. Once available, more details will be given.
