Oxnard, CA (May 15, 2024) On Tuesday morning, a man was found dead after a hit-and-run crash on Grant Avenue.

According to the Oxnard Police Department (OPD), the fatal collision happened at about 5:31 a.m. on Grant Avenue and Cooper Road.

Reports say that a dark blue Nissan Sentra struck a man and then fled the scene, leaving the injured man unresponsive in the middle of Grant Avenue and Cooper Road.

Officials say that the victim was crossing the street when the fatal crash happened.

Authorities are searching for the suspect driver and vehicle, which officials say will have moderate damage on his license plate above the rear bumper.
