Phoenix, AZ (July 27, 2024) On Thursday evening, a man was killed in a horrific hit-and-run crash near 34th Avenue.

According to authorities, the fatal crash happened around 10:30 p.m. near 34th Avenue and Camelback Road.

Reports say that first responders found the male pedestrian seriously hurt. Medics rushed the man to the hospital in critical condition, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Authorities say that the victim was crossing the road when a vehicle struck him, officials say that the driver stopped and parked the car near 39th Avenue and Elm Street and fled on foot.
