HOUSTON, TX (August 8, 2024) – Wednesday morning, a deadly auto-pedestrian crash on Highway 6 near Bellaire Boulevard killed 1 person.

The crash involving an unidentified man who died after being struck by a vehicle occurred on Highway 6 near Bellaire Boulevard.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez tweeted that the driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities, leaving it uncertain whether charges will be filed. 

Southbound lanes at Bellaire Boulevard and State Highway 6 were shut down for the investigation. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and find alternate routes to prevent delays.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
