PINOLE, CA (November 15, 2021) – Early Monday, a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate Highway 80 near Pinole Valley Road led to a fatality.
 
The CHP and Contra Costa County Fire Protection District came to the scene at 12:04 a.m. Moreover, the incident happened in foggy conditions on Interstate Highway 80 near Pinole Valley Road off-ramp.
 
Upon the authorities’ arrival, they found vehicles blocking westbound lanes and on the right-hand side of the highway, partially blocking the off-ramp.
 
At around 12:40 a.m., responders requested for the coroner.
