Dead Body Found on 580 Freeway at 35th Avenue [OAKLAND, CA]

Authorities Found Deceased Body near Homeless Encampment on 580 Freeway in Oakland

 
OAKLAND, CA (November 23, 2019) – A dead body was found Saturday afternoon near a highway homeless emcampment in Oakland.
 
The discovery was reported around 2:50 p.m., on 580 Freeway at 35th Avenue off-ramp. Dispatchers arrived to the area shortly after.
 
Oakland police also alerted CHP officials about a group of people living near the eastbound 580 Freeway off-ramp. Emergency personnel responded and found the body of a person that appeared to have been deceased for about a week.
 
Moreover, the body was found near a large homeless encampment, the CHP said. However, the identity of the deceased was not immediately available.
