1 Injured in Fresno Auto Crash on McKinley Avenue
FRESNO, CA (October 24, 2020) – Last Wednesday, authorities arrested Dax Emery after a multi-vehicle accident on McKinley Avenue.
According to Fresno Police Department says Officer Jerome Royal, they were patrolling the Mayfair District. Furthermore, they attempted to stop someone in a traffic stop. However, the 24-year-old driver, Dax Emery fled.
Afterward, Emery failed to yield at a red light on McKinley Avenue and First Street. Thus, Officer Royal stopped the chase because the area has a lot of traffic.
Unfortunately, Royal’s attempt of keeping things safe was unsuccessful. Emery struck six different vehicles. He eventually stopped after his vehicle overturned.
The multi-vehicle crash left one person seriously injured.
Meanwhile, Emery tried to run off but the authorities managed to detain him.
Furthermore, the Fresno police revealed that they discovered a 9mm Smith and Wesson handgun in his vehicle. The said gun was reported to be stolen from a person in Arizona.
Authorities booked Dax Emery, a gang member, and a convicted felon, into the Fresno County Jail. Also, he is now facing several gun-related charges, on top of evading police.
