63-Year-Old San Bernardino Man Fatally Struck by Car near Marshall Boulevard
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (September 3, 2018) – An elderly man was struck and killed by a car on North Waterman Avenue, late Monday evening. The victim was later identified as 63-year-old David Samuel Olalde of San Bernardino.
According to California Highway Patrol reports, the accident happened just before 10:40 PM near the intersection of East Marshall Boulevard.
Officers with the San Bernardino Police Department stated that the pedestrian was struck by a southbound traveling vehicle. It was not yet clear if the victim was at a designated crosswalk at the time of the accident. The medics responded to the scene and transported Olalde to a local hospital, where he was later succumbed to his severe injuries and was pronounced dead.
No additional information has been released to the public, as officials continue to investigate the fatal accident.
