HBPD Investigates Fatal Bicycle-Vehicle Collision on Talbert Avenue
Huntington Beach, CA (March 8, 2024) On Thursday morning, 18-year-old David Mario Garcia Olmos was killed in a horrific bicycle crash on Talbert Avenue.
According to the Huntington Beach Police Department (HBPD), the fatal bicycle-vehicle collision happened on Talbert Avenue just west of Bell Circle at about 6:15 a.m.
Reports say that a westbound 2016 Kia Sorrento struck Talbert while riding his bike westbound on Talbert.
Authorities say that medics rushed Olmos to the hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Meanwhile, officials say that the Kia driver stayed at the scene and did not show signs of impairment.
Police are investigating the fatal collision.
