David Coleman Arrested in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on North Argonne Road [Spokane Valley, WA]

Spokane Valley, WA (September 25, 2021) – On Wednesday, a man was fatally struck, and police arrested 42-year-old David Coleman, in a DUI crash on North Argonne Road.

The accident took place at about 10 p.m. near East Maringo Drive.

Officers said the victim was attempting to cross the roadway from west to east, when a northbound 1999 Subaru Outback driven by Coleman, struck the pedestrian. 

Rescuers took the victim to a hospital but did not survive .

Moreover, Coleman told the authorities that the pedestrian came out in front of him, and that he did not have time to hit the brakes. 

Coleman also told the officer that he uses marijuana everyday but last used on Wednesday noon.

Meanwhile, officers believed Coleman was under the influence of a drug and was not safe to operate a vehicle during the accident.

The authorities arrested and booked Coleman into Spokane County Jail for suspicion of vehicular homicide.

Officers are still investigating the fatal crash. Reports said drugs and/or alcohol use by Coleman and the victim are suspected factors in the crash.
