Stanislaus County Deputy Caleb Collins Seriously Hurt Following a DUI Crash in Turlock, Suspect David Buhrmann Arrested
Turlock, CA (June 27, 2020)– The suspect David Buhrmann was arrested following a DUI collision on Thursday morning in Turlock injuring a Stanislaus County Deputy.
The collision happened on June 25 at about 7 a.m. on Main Street and S. Tully Road.
The suspect was identified as David Arthur Rolland Buhrmann, 33, a resident of Turlock. The California Highway Patrol Modesto division said that Buhrmann was driving a pickup truck when he made a sudden left turn. Thus, the truck collided with a motorcycle that was about to enter an intersection.
The motorcycle rider identified as the Stanislaus County motorcycle deputy Caleb Collins was ejected from his vehicle. As a result, the deputy suffered serious injuries from the crash.
Pending Investigation of DUI Collision
Collins was transported to an area hospital for treatments however, his condition is still unknown. Collins is a five-year veteran of the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department.
Meanwhile, Buhrmann remained at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of DUI. Furthermore, CHP is still investigating the incident.
