1 Critically Injured in Petaluma Accident on Lakeville Highway
PETALUMA, CA (July 29, 2020) – Sunday night, authorities arrested David Aspegren Jr. after an injury crash on Lakeville Highway.
According to reports, 37-year-old David Aspegren Jr. of Ashford, Connecticut, drove a Chevrolet Impala. As he traveled south on Lakeville Highway about 10:30 p.m., he let his car drove across the opposing lane.
As a result, David Aspegren Jr. crashed into a 22-year-old man driving a northbound Ford Focus, south of Stage Gulch Road. Due to the impact, the Ford driver was pinned in the vehicle. Emergency workers extricated him, Officer David de Rutte revealed.
Responders airlifted the Ford driver to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and were listed in critical condition. At this time, the CHP hasn’t released the victim’s identity.
After receiving treatment from Memorial Hospital, the authorities booked Aspegren. The police arrested him on suspicion of felony driving while impaired and other charges. The authorities took him into custody with a bail set to $100,000.
