Richard Sosa Arrested in DUI Rollover Crash on 60 Freeway in Moreno Valley
MORENO VALLEY, CA (December 21, 2018) – A man was killed following a DUI rollover crash late Friday evening in Moreno Valley.
The fatal crash happened around 11:11 p.m. on 60 Freeway at Redlands Boulevard.
According to reports, a blue Nissan Maxima was traveling westbound when it went off the freeway and rolled over into a field. A male passenger was stuck underneath the car.
The Riverside County Coroner’s Office was dispatched to the scene and pronounced the man dead. The victim was later identified as David Amaya, 27, of Hemet.
The driver of the car, identified as a 24-year-old Richard Raymond Sosa, was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated causing bodily injury and disorderly conduct. He was booked into Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside. His bail was set at $75,000, according to the Riverside County jail log.
Investigation of this fatal incident is still ongoing.
