58-Year-Old Daryl Bertsch Killed in Interstate 5 Accident [Marysville, WA]

Man Dies in I-5 Pedestrian Crash

Marysville, WA (March 5, 2024) – 58-year-old Daryl Bertsch was killed following an Interstate 5 accident Sunday evening.

Investigators said Daryl Bertsch parked his car around 5 p.m. on the shoulder of the freeway near Mile Post 197. Officers said Bertsch was filling up his car with fuel.

Sadly, a southbound Dodge Ram struck Bertsch and his vehicle. Bertsch was declared deceased at the scene.

The authorities do not suspect impairment as a factor in this accident and no arrest has been made.
