Bakersfield Woman Dead in Visalia Accident on Highway 99 and Avenue 184
VISALIA, CA (August 31, 2021) – Monday, a deadly car crash on Highway 99 and Avenue 184 involved Darryl Thompson.
According to reports, a 36-year-old Bakersfield woman drove south on Highway 99, north of Avenue 184. For unknown reasons, the woman failed to notice another vehicle driving toward her. 54-year-old Darryl Thompson drove the other vehicle.
As a result, the woman failed to slow down, her vehicle collided with Thompson’s car. Then, the woman succumbed to her injuries. Meanwhile, Darryl Thompson sustained minor injuries but didn’t require hospitalization.
At this time, the authorities haven’t determined whether alcohol or drug played a role in the crash.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continue to investigate the crash.
