Rider Dies after Crash with Car at Pine and Polk Streets
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (May 13, 2019) – A man was killed following a traffic collision between a motorcycle and a car Monday evening in San Francisco’s Polk Gulch neighborhood.
The collision was reported at 10:12 p.m. at the intersection of Pine Street and Polk Street.
According to the report, the man was riding his motorcycle when it collided with a BMW X3. Responding paramedics rushed the rider to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
A coroner’s personnel identified the victim as a 47-year-old Darren Travis of Oakland.
The BMW driver was not injured.
No arrests have been made at this time, but the incident remains under investigation.
