Neios Soien Arrested in Fatal Vehicle Collision in Vancouver
Vancouver, WA (December 11, 2022) – On Sunday, Darrell Shoote, 58, of Vancouver sustained fatal injuries while the authorities arrested Neios Soien, 39, of Vancouver, in a t-bone crash on East 18th Avenue.
The authorities said that at 1:42 a.m., a Vancouver police officer attempted to stop Neios Soien near General Anderson Avenue.
The vehicle drove at average speeds for several blocks but then suddenly sped away. The officer did not chase the car and continued at average speeds.
Reports say the vehicle approached East 18th Avenue and Brandt Road.
At the same time, a car driven by Darrell Shoote drove through the intersection and was T-boned by Neios Soien’s vehicle on the driver’s side.
Soien attempted to run away from the scene as the officers arrived but Vancouver police officers caught him.
The authorities took Neios Soien to the hospital with injuries from the crash. Reports said he showed signs of impairment.
Moreover, the authorities Darrell Shoote died due to the accident.
After the hospital released Soien, officers took him to the Clark County Jail on the charges of vehicular homicide, hit-and-run resulting in death, DUI, DWLS III, and driving without an ignition interlock device.
