77-Year-Old Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle near Yucaipa Boulevard

YUCAIPA, CA (November 6, 2018) – On Tuesday morning, an elderly man was killed in a pedestrian crash on Bryant Street. The deceased victim was later identified as 77-year-old Darrel Teeters, a Yucaipa resident.

According to officials, the fatal accident was reported around 8:16 AM, near the intersection of Yucaipa Boulevard.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department stated that the victim was hit by a car while crossing the street. The elderly victim suffered significant injuries and was transported to the Redlands Community Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical staff.

Authorities identified the driver of the vehicle as 37-year-old David Higgins, a Yucaipa resident. He remained at the scene and cooperated with officials. Higgins was not injured in the incident, and no charges have been filed at this time.
