Two-Vehicle Collision Reported near MacArthur Boulevard
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA (October 8, 2018) – On Monday afternoon, a man was hospitalized after a motorcycle crash on the northbound 405 Freeway. The injured motorcyclist was identified as Darnell Slayton.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 3:25 PM, just south of MacArthur Boulevard.
Reports stated that Slayton’s Harley Davidson struck a green Toyota Tundra in the area before crashing into another vehicle. Events leading up to the collision are unknown.
Authorities arrived at the scene to find the victim injured in the left lanes of the highway. An ambulance was requested to transport Slayton to the Orange County Global Medical Center for treatment and evaluation of minor injuries. There is no update on his current medical condition. No other injuries were reported in the incident.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash and have not confirmed any details. Drugs and alcohol are not considered to be contributing factors in the collision, and no further details have been disclosed to the public at this time.
