1 Injured in Redding Two-Vehicle Accident on Oasis Road and Akrich Street
REDDING, CA (July 19, 2022) – Sunday morning, authorities arrested Darin Rogers after a crash on Oasis Road and Akrich Street.
The incident involving a 2015 Dodge Ram and 2012 Ford Focus occurred at around 8:09 a.m. Moreover, it happened at the intersection of Oasis Road and Akrich Street.
According to reports, the Dodge Ram headed north on Old Oregon Trail. Then, the driver of the Ford Focus headed west on Oasis Road. However, the Dodge Ram pickup struck the Ford Focus within the intersection.
Reports confirmed that 61-year-old Darin Rogers of Shasta Lake City drove the Dodge Ram pickup. She had a blood alcohol content above the legal limit and also displayed symptoms of being under the influence of marijuana.
Thus, authorities booked Darin Rogers in Shasta County Jail under felony DUI charges and causing bodily harm.
Meanwhile, responders took the 30-year-old Ford Focus driver to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment. At this time, he remained in critical condition.
