Dante Jackson Dies in Possible DUI Accident on Highway 101 [Prunedale, CA]

Prunedale, CA (June 12, 2023) On Friday evening, 21-year-old Dante Jackson of Salinas died in a possible DUI accident on Highway 101.

CHP says that the fatal single-vehicle crash happened near San Miguel Canyon Road around 10:24 p.m. Officials say that a 22-year-old female passenger from Las Vegas on the vehicle sustained moderate injuries due to the accident.

Reports say that Jackson was driving the vehicle that veered off the road and collided with a guardrail and rolled down a ditch on Southbound Highway 101.

Authorities say that both Jackson and the female passenger were trapped inside the vehicle. Rescuers arrived and found Dante Louis Jackson unconscious.

Despite life-saving measures provided by the rescuers, Jackson ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, medics transported the injured female to Natividad Medical Center.

CHP Monterey is investigating the single-vehicle crash and suspects alcohol was a factor in the crash.
