Dante Briseno Crashes Vehicle on Olympic Parkway in Chula Vista
CHULA VISTA, CA (March 27, 2019) – A teen driver lost control of his car and crashed while he tried to tell another driver to stop being so reckless.
The incident occurred along Olympic Parkway near Brandywine Avenue in Chula Vista on Thursday, March 21.
16-year-old Dante Briseno slammed through a split rail fence and destroyed about 60 feet of it. After that, his vehicle came to rest on its side and smashed the bushes.
The Otay Ranch High School junior said he was traveling eastbound on Olympic Parkway after lacrosse practice. Then he saw another vehicle came up on him quickly. The vehicle passed what seemed like a few inches of his 98 Mercury Sable.
Briseno said that he tried to catch up to the driver to tell him to slow down. However, he lost control of his car at the turn and struck the fence. Fortunately, more damage was reported than injuries.
The collision scattered several large-sized parts of the fence in the roadway and along the walking path. Police conducted their investigation after clearing the debris.
Reckless driving is a major risk for accidents. Always follow safety precautions such as following speed limits and keeping a safe distance from other vehicles to ensure your safety and the safety of surrounding vehicles, motorists, and pedestrians.
